Goffle Brook Farm is a family owned and operated business since 1968. It is now owned by Kurt and Donna Dorsey. Although Goffle Brook Farm is small it packs a large punch in the garden center industry. Not only do the Dorsey’s have the garden center but they have recently started an outdoor staging company and a service for watering plants.

Because Goffle Brook Farm is such a small garden center every single piece of inventory has to be perfect. Kurt Dorsey hand picks the plants at the growers. Almost all plants at the garden center are “Jersey Grown”. Speaking of “Jersey Grown”, the store sells produce in the summer. Ask anyone in Bergen County who has the best produce and they will tell you, Goffle Brook.

Lastly Donna Dorsey has just finished her Master Gardener Program, an extensive program given by Rutgers Extension Service. Keeping up on education is an important part of Donna’s success. She not only is constantly furthering her own education she hires employees that have a vast background in horticulture. This knowledgeable staff is what helps a little store like hers keep customers coming to her store instead of a bigger store.
